Ironman Regatta

BSC will be holding the IRONMAN REGATTA on March 7th at 8th.   The race format is unique and fun.  The fleet will be broken into a GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE Division with that spit being determined based on the performance of the first two races and announced Saturday night at the burger cookout.  Each division will have awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  The award trophies are AWESOME.  Please read the NOR for full details.

• Three races are planned:
  • Race 1 to be a one design or open fleet race, with separate starts, in an around the buoys race course.  The fleet finishes will be normalized to a 10 boat fleet to account for differences in fleet sizes. (to be fair to a smaller fleet).
  • Race 2 will be a long distance race of moderate length with a single start for all entries.   The results of Race 1 and Race 2 will dictate if you are in the GOLD, SILVER, or BRONZE fleet.
  • Race 3 will be a portsmouth handicap, low point scored race around the buoys with separate starts.
• Entry Fee is $40 per boat.  Juniors are Free!
