Cold Water Awarenhttps://youtu.be/m4R9kXb0fXwess:

How do you prepare for cold water sailing?  In this 1 hr class we’ll discuss the physiology of cold water immersion, the strategies for preparing for it, and the techniques to rescue – or self rescue- when it happens.

About the instructor:
Doug Watson joined BSA after retiring from a twenty-year career as a pilot in the U.S. Coast Guard.  His postings in Kodiak, AK and Cape Cod, MA have given him valuable insight into cold water marine safety and rescue.  He is certified as a level 1 sailing instructor and also holds US Sailing certificates for Keel Boat and Bareboat Cruising.
Doug is currently a pilot for Southern Company.
