Starting Sequence

Following is the starting sequence based on rule 26 of the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing, as prescribed by U.S. Sailing.

Starting Sequence

Signal	Flag	Sound	Minutes before Start Signal
Warning		1 Sound	5 Minutes*
Preparatory		1 Sound	4 Minutes
One-Minute		1 Sound	1 Minute
Starting		1 Sound	0 Mintues

 * or as stated in the sailing instructions
The warning signal for each succeeding class shall be made with or after the starting signal of the preceding class
