GREAT SCOT RACE RESULTS
PRO:	Jim Binnings		Sid's Comments: Saturday was a good day to be on the lake with mild temperatures and partial clouds.  Winds were also mild and extremely variable.  We had large shifts within 20 seconds of starting at times.  Competition was good though.  It was interesting to watch several gaggles of Scots head in different directions after a start as each skipper would predict winds differently.   The oddest race would have to be race two when a patch of no wind appeared on the lake and didn't move.  It was surrounded by wind, but the boats caught in the center were stranded until they slowly drifted to the edge seeking the stationary windline.  Some Scots finished race four on Saturday before the winds left us, but the race was manually finished by the Race Committee after one boat abandoned the race and headed for the dock and one boat began to paddle.

			Sunday's winds were even more erratic than Saturday's, but still a fun day overall.  We had Five boats from out of town and they all complimented BSC on it's ability to host a regatta.

INSTRUCTIONS
	Enter data in yellow fields only
	Boat Type must be entered using the list box.  If the boat is not in the list, it must be added to the portsmouth table
	The Wind Speed range for each race must also be selected from the list box
	A skipper for each boat must be listed.  Corrected times will not calculate if skipper is blank.
	Sail number is optional.  Use the Boat/Skipper cross reference to verify information.
	Enter race date.  Use date of first race for two-day regattas
	Enter total lapse time using the format shown at the top of the column.  If no time is available, enter appropriate code i.e. DNF
	Acceptable codes are limited to DNS, DNF, and DSQ
	The corrected time is calculated using the Portsmouth factor from the table using Boat Type and Wind Speed.
	The Portsmouth factor can be checked by expanding the column to the left of the Lapse Time
	The IF statements included in the formulas are used primarily to eliminate the Errors when no data is available.
	The IF Statements check if the Skipper is present and a Wind Speed selected to determine if the calculations should be executed.
