Comments: Twelve boats showed up
hoping for at least a repeat of yesterday's 6mph winds. Instead we found
ourselves in a drifter with what wind we had out of the Northeast
interspersed with thermals from most anywhere. The thistles fielded seven boats and had a
separate start. Michael Papp in the
open fleet and commodore Loy Vaughan in the thistles dominated the light air
racing. Skip Caldwell and Ed Cassady
are to be commended for getting off two races under such trying conditions
and on a short handed race committee. |

A skipper for each boat must be
listed. Corrected times will not
calculate if skipper is blank. |

Sail number is optional. Use the Boat/Skipper cross reference to
verify information. |

Enter race date. Use date of first race for two-day regattas |

Enter total lapse time using the
format shown at the top of the column.
If no time is available, enter appropriate code i.e. DNF |

Acceptable codes are limited to DNS,
DNF, and DSQ |

The corrected time is calculated
using the Portsmouth factor from the table using Boat Type and Wind Speed. |
|
|
The
Portsmouth factor can be checked by expanding the column to the left of the
Lapse Time |
|
|
The IF statements included in the
formulas are used primarily to eliminate the Errors when no data is
available. |
|
|
The IF Statements check if the
Skipper is present and a Wind Speed selected to determine if the calculations
should be executed. |
